Using coinshop
coinshop is an online marketplace that connects independent buyers and sellers. coinshop is available to residents of the United States only. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account, and you confirm both when you sign up. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your login details safe.
Payments and escrow
Buyers pay with supported crypto on Base, Robinhood Chain or Solana. Payments are converted to USDC and held in escrow until the buyer clicks "It arrived" in their order summary, or 48 hours after tracking shows the item delivered, whichever comes first. Fees are not held in escrow. Crypto transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain, and exchange rates can move between quote and payment.
Fees
coinshop charges a 2% buyer fee (added at checkout), a seller fee (2%, or 1% for Founding Sellers) (deducted from the item price when it sells) and a $2 listing fee per listing (paid by the seller before the listing is published). As a founding-seller perk, the first 100 listings on coinshop are free of the listing fee. Fees are collected in USDC and sent to the coinshop platform wallet immediately; they are never held in escrow. Buyers also pay the network gas and swap costs for their own payment, shown before they sign. coinshop pays the network gas for seller payouts. The 2% buyer fee and the seller fee (2%, or 1% for Founding Sellers) go to the coinshop platform account and are used to pay network gas fees and for future platform development, marketing and expansion. The buyer's item payment (the seller's proceeds) stays in escrow until the item arrives and the buyer clicks "It arrived" in their order summary, or 48 hours after tracking shows the package delivered, whichever comes first.
Your responsibilities
You agree to follow the Marketplace Rules, not to list Prohibited Items, and to provide accurate information. coinshop is not the seller of items listed by users and does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of listed items.
Suspension
coinshop may remove listings or suspend accounts that break these terms, the Marketplace Rules or the law.
Liability
coinshop is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, coinshop is not liable for indirect losses, blockchain network failures, wallet errors, or losses caused by price movements of crypto assets.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of coinshop after changes means you accept the updated terms.
